Theme: Light

You’re going to discover what “light” means to you and how it fits into your life. So that you can bring more lightness, rest and ease in. We will do all this using mindful living, nature and creativity.

Included:

  • An introduction with information on the benefits of mindfulness, rest, nature etc.
  • Exercises to get the most out of your time in nature
  • A downloadable workbook with writing and reflective prompts around the theme of light and (art) journal exercises, such as creative exercises or ideas and a scavenger hunt
  • An audio with a breathing exercise

When does the course take place?

Each new theme has a date that the materials will become available and you will have access.

Since this is a brand new offering, new themes are being added all the time. So feel free to come back again or sign up for the studio updates to hear when a new theme is added.

I have no experience with creativity / mindfulness / yoga nidra / or other things you mention, is this for me?

Yes! The course is structured in such a way that you get introduced to all parts in a very accessible way.
You can take your time to get used to it and explore what you like.

As for the yoga nidras, especially the short yoga nidras are nice to try out if it’s something for you. I will also explain to you exactly what a nidra is and does.

You do not need any materials for the creative exercises. You can use whatever you already have in your home. Some of the creative exercises can also be done in a different way, for example by working with clay instead of paint or writing a story. I mention these suggestions at the exercises.

Is there any overlap between the themes / mini courses?

All exercises are different for each theme.

However, the information about going into nature, mindful living or the benefits of creativity may be (partially) the same. This is for the simple reason that the background information always comes from the same research and is about rest, relaxation, well-being and positive influences that each part has. Of course, whenever possible, it will be written in such a way as to fit the specific theme.

What is the investment for this online course?

The regular price is 44 euro. However, the first theme is available at a lower introductory price.

Can I get my money back?

Unfortunately not. Because it is an online course and you get immediate access to everything, there are no refunds. Thank you for understanding.

Is this program also for children or adolescents?

This online course is created for people of 18 years and older. Even though you could do the creative exercises with children, I recommend they do it with an adult by their side.

Can I use this this as (replacement of) therapy or mental health treatment?

No. This course is here to help you explore and discover ways to rest, live more mindful, find calm and be creative.

However, this online course is not therapy or mental health treatment and can also not replace it. At this moment I do not give any treatment or therapy. For this I would like to refer you to my colleagues who do still offer this or your general practitioner.

The program uses elements from mindfulness, but it is not a full 8 week mindfulness program.

The yoga nidras are created by myself. I am an officially certified yoga nidra facilitator (Yoga Alliance).

The methods used, my expertise and what it is not

The creative exercises are designed to let you be creative. To inspire you or to show you an example to help you find what suits you and what makes you happy. To explore how you can find rest and joy in creativity. It is not a technical drawing/painting/…etc course. Although I mainly paint myself, there will certainly be a focus on other creative activities as well.

I graduated from Leiden University in Pedagogical Sciences with additional courses in psychology (and am a member of the necessary professional association NVO) and I am therefore qualified to guide, help and coach children, adolescents and adults.

However, this online course is not therapy and can also not replace it. At this moment I do not give any treatment or therapy. For this I would like to refer you to my colleagues who do still offer this or your general practitioner.

The program uses elements from mindfulness, but it is not a full 8 week mindfulness program.

The yoga nidras are created by myself. I am an officially certified yoga nidra facilitator (Yoga Alliance).

Is there guidance in the course?

This is an online course that is pre-recorded and immediately accessible to you. There is no guidance from me nor is there a course community.

You can view all the offerings at the “classes” page and see, for example, if a workshop or individual guidance is available.

Can I do the online course with multiple people or as a workshop for my company?

You buy access for one person. If you want to do it with a friend or family member they can buy the online course for themselves.
